This screen provides the option to print the 1096-MISC form by state or by status (original, corrected, transmitted). A Pre-printed 1096 is a required IRS form if you are submitting it by mail. You may print an office copy on plain paper if submitted electronically.
Print Form 1096 - Process
- If this is the final return (the last return that will be submitted for the company), check the corresponding box.
- Print the 1096 for the IRS on a pre-printed form. This is an IRS requirement.
- Print an office copy of 1096 on plain paper or save it to file for your company records.
