Setting up Detail Groups – Having Pak Accounting Remember
Payroll has a feature that remembers which details to pay/deduct for a specific type of payroll being distributed.
For example, a company pays its employees a quarterly bonus each quarter based on the profitability of the prior quarter. For this special payroll, there should not be any of the normal deductions like insurance, United Way, etc., but instead just the normal taxes and 401k deduction. The first time this payroll is processed, the detail codes can be selected individually, and then the detail group can be SAVED!
- First, select which detail codes you want to include.
- Then click on the Detail Groups tab, then click on Save, and give it a name like Bonus.
The next time you run payroll, enter the name you created for the group and click on the Load Group button.
If you want to delete a group, select the Delete Group button.
